What I have actually realized is that the more busy I get the more I like fighting games. Now at first I wasn’t a big fighting game fan, I stuck to more of the action/adventure or RPG type games. Then I started getting busy. When I got slightly busy I started digging First Person Shooters, or for all my gamers out there FPS, because they did not take much thought. You just go in and start firing.
Once my work loud got bigger I found myself going weeks and then months without playing a single game. At one point I remember turning my XBOX 360 on surprised that it even came on after all that time. lol.
This brings me to the reason for my post is because I have started playing fighting game because they are quick. You don’t have to devote much time on them (if you are not trying to master them). I just pop it in get a few rounds going and I’m good.
And now I would like to tell you guys of the 3 fighting games that have been getting me through my video game drought. (No Particular Order)

First is Soul Calibur 4. I mean this was one of the games that I really had a lot of fun with. My girlfriend was kicking major butt when we first got this (she always been really good at the Soul Calibur series). So when I bought this one I knew I would not be the main person playing but with addition of Yoda and Darth Vader how could I resist.

Second on this List has to be Street Fighter 4. What can I say I am a huge fan of the Street Fighter franchise. The one thing that I will warn you guys about is beware, this game can become extremely hard. It’s not one of those “I’m just going to pop it in and amp up the difficulty cause I’m pretty good at the other Street Fighters” Street Fighter. Even the pros were saying this was a little tougher than normal. Still a greater game and a instance classic in my opinion.

And last but definitely not least Marvel vs Capcom 2. This game has probably gotten more play from me and my friends than any other (maybe with Smash Bro.). This can definitely be a pick up and play type deal. I love Capcom, I love Comics, what else is there to say? And that satisfying crunch that you get when you finish someone of in this game with a super has not been match by any other fighter, in my opinion.
Honorable Mention: Super Smash Bro. Brawl, Guilty Gear
